Item La importancia de la educación financiera en la toma de decisiones financieras. Un vistazo a los emprendimientos sociales - Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-02-11) Arévalo Granda, Nelly Dixiana; Carrasco Pinos, Angelica Viviana; Coronel Pangol, Katherine TatianaThe main objective of the study was to determine the level of financial education among social entrepreneurs, as well as the relationship between financial decision-making and financial education. Additionally, it aimed to establish the differences in financial decisions based on demographic variables, educational level, and gender of the respondents. For this purpose, a descriptive analysis and contingency tables were conducted, followed by the following statistical tests: a) Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric H test, b) Spearman's Rho, c) Mann-Whitney U, and d) Binary logistic regression. The database of the project titled "Financial Decisions in Social Entrepreneurs from a Behavioral Finance Perspective" was used as a reference, resulting in a total of 166 surveys. The results showed a moderate positive correlation between the level of financial education and financial decision-making, meaning that as the level of financial education increases, the quality of the decision made improves. Similarly, applying binary logistic regression reveals that financial education contributes to changes in the predictor variable, indicating that better financial education increases the likelihood of making a sound financial decision. Thus, concluding that these two variables are closely related.
