In the First Chapter the origin, the meaning and the debate over the term "information literacy" are addressed. Furthermore, the content of that expression used in the present investigation is exposed. In the Second Chapter the students’ survey analysis begins. We focus on three major areas: searching and finding information, resources and access to information, and finally selection and evaluation of sources. In the Third Chapter two components are developed. The first is related to information and communication technology with emphasis on social networks and digital bases used by students for academic activities. The second presents the type of academic work done by students with the information they find. In the Fourth Chapter students’ different information skills are related to age, residence place, gender, career and training areas in order to search for an explanation. The research determines the extent to which the students understand why they need the information? What resources do they have? How do they find the information? How do they work with information?
