    This research focuses on analyzing the consequences generated by environmental pollution due to the increase in the automotive fleet along a 1.5 km stretch of Paseo de los Cañaris Avenue. The study examines the role that green areas could play, both existing ones and those that could be implemented, as a mitigation strategy for these polluting effects. The study analyzes how the increase in vehicular traffic relates to urban development and transformations in the sector's mobility patterns. Additionally, it presents a diagnosis of the green areas located on the avenue, detailing their surface area and distribution. The results obtained will serve as a foundation for understanding the potential of these zones in reducing pollution and will provide valuable information for future sustainable urban planning actions in this road corridor.
