Background: Eating Disorders (ED) are multi-causal psychiatric diseases, characterized by excessive preoccupation with food intake, weight and body image. Currently, their incidence and prevalence have increased in the world, causing a great impact on society. Objective: To determine the factors associated with eating behavior in students of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Cuenca, 2024-2025. Methods: A quantitative, analytical and cross-sectional study was carried out with a sample of 50 students of the Nutrition and Dietetics career. A survey was used for sociodemographic data and risk factors associated with eating behavior; in addition, the APGAR family questionnaires, Rosemberg's self-esteem scale and the SCOFF questionnaire were applied. The statistical analysis consisted of the presentation of frequencies, percentages and tables. For the association we used inferential chi-square statistics (p 0.05). Conclusions: The study evidences that risk factors are not significantly associated with developing eating disorders.
