This work presents the proposal of a career plan by competencies for 17 critical positions belonging to the company Indumot S.A. Critical positions have been established based on an evaluation of all the positions that make up the organization. For this and in order to develop the proposal, the Martha Alles competency assessment methodology has been used. Thus, after conducting the respective evaluation and investigation, the results have been obtained that the majority of critical positions are close to the standards determined by the organization. However, it has been observed that almost half of the collaborators have two levels of difference between their current level of cardinal, specific or managerial competence versus the standard determined by Indumot S.A. As for the cardinal competencies, a greater deficiency has been seen in skills related to adaptation to the environment and integrity. In relation to managerial competencies, deficiencies have been seen in skills such as strategic vision, people management and empowerment. And, regarding specific competencies, those that require more attention are: tolerance to pressure, negotiation, responsibility and dynamism and energy. Therefore, it has been concluded that two types of training are necessary. On the one hand, a relatively superficial training for those collaborators with deficiencies of one level in their skills. On the other, intensive training for those employees with gaps of two and three levels in their competencies.
