Item Efecto del aprendizaje experiencial en la formación de entrenadores deportivos(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-09-30) Jetón Mogrovejo, Jorge Luis; Aldas Arcos, Helder GuillermoThe present investigation was carried out at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico del Azuay, located in the city of Cuenca, Azuay province. The objective of the study was to analyze the effect of experiential learning in the training of sports coaches. For the development of the study, several experiential learning methodologies were selected and applied to 18 students from the third cycle of the institute's sports training career. Participants were selected according to inclusion criteria. The teaching-learning methodology was applied for 17 weeks, five days a week, during the development of the classes. This study is quasi-experimental with a control group. The main variables used were, the methodological strategies of experiential learning and the improvement of the teaching-learning process evidenced in the learning styles of the students; the secondary variables were the age and sex of the participants. Learning styles were evaluated in a pre-test and post-test, through the application of the Honey-Alonso questionnaire. For data analysis, the computer software IBM-SPSS-Statistics-22 was used. In addition, the results of the evaluations were compared, by means of the test of means for related and independent samples. The results obtained showed that with the intervention, active, reflective and pragmatic learning improved significantly, however, theoretical learning did not improve. Therefore, the application of the experiential learning methodology for 17 weeks showed an improvement in the teaching-learning process, specifically in the learning styles of the students.Item Fortalecimiento del core y su incidencia en el mejoramiento de la resistencia en carreras de larga duración(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-12-11) Puin Gutama, Mirian Esperanza; Aldas Arcos, Helder GuillermoThe present investigation was carried out in the De la Madre Park, located in the city of Cuenca, Azuay province. The objective of the study was to analyze the strengthening of the core and its incidence in the improvement of endurance in long-term races, in runners aged 18 - 45 years who train in the athletics club "Morlacos Running Club". For the development of the study, a training program was developed and applied to 20 athletes who train for long-term athletic events. Participants were selected according to inclusion criteria. The program was applied for 8 weeks, three days a week, after the usual training sessions, with a day of rest between sessions. This study is quasi-experimental without a control group. The main variables used for this research were the strengthening of the core and the improvement of time resistance; the secondary variables were: age, body mass index, training time. The physical performance of the athletes was evaluated through a pre-test and post-test, which consisted of traveling a distance of 10km in the open air on a 400m track. For the data analysis, the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 computer software was used. The Shapiro-Wilks test was also used in order to check the normality of the data, the Student's t test for paired samples for the level of significance between the pre-test and post-test and a linear regression was performed to examine the influence of the secondary variables on the result. The results obtained showed a significant difference p <0.05 of 1’15” of the post-test versus the pre-test for the distance of 10Km. Therefore, the application of a core training program for 8 weeks, 3 times a week, evidenced an improvement in endurance for longterm athletic races.
