    Implementación y aplicación de prácticas de laboratorio experimental para el aprendizaje de geometría plana en el décimo año de E.G.B del colegio Rafael Borja

    The research problem " Implementation and Application of Experimental Laboratory Practice for Learning Plane Geometry in the Tenth Year Education General Basic in the Rafael Borja High School. The results of this research have improved the students’ learning of the Geometry block in the Mathematics subject. Students of Tenth Year Education General Basic in the Rafael Borja High School have increased their learning by using experimental laboratory practices through instructional tools such as mathematical software and concrete material. The quasi -experimental design research has facilitated to contrast the hypothesis and the “T” test has helped to compare related data. Also, this investigation has enabled to develop 28 practices that they are grouped in learning guides that teacher and students could consider and improve. The data collected in the exploratory tests, laboratory reports, and surveys were analyzed using the descriptive statistics. The results of this research proved that students’ knowledge were improved and that students has developed their cognitive and metacognitive skills. Therefore, this work provides enough evidence to use mathematical software and concrete material as pedagogical teaching tools in the experimental practices through a Constructivist Methodology.
