Item Resiliencia de los cuidadores primarios de niños y niñas con parálisis cerebral, del Instituto de Parálisis Cerebral del Azuay y su relación con la adaptabilidad familiar, año 2024.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-02-27) Amagua Chalco, Mathllury Paola; Sánchez Loja, Wilson FernandoCerebral palsy in children refers to a set of brain disorders that alter motor functioning in boys and girl, being one of the main causes of physical disability that generate varying degrees of dependence. Therefore, it is crucial to assign a primary caregiver who attends to the child´s needs, as well as de family´s adaptability to face their new reality, adjusting their dynamics and functionality. Thus, the purpose of this research is to analyze the resilience levels of primary caregivers of children with cerebral palsy at Institute of Cerebral Palsy of Azuay (IPCA) and their relationship family adaptability. The research was developed under a quantitative approach, with a non experimental, crosssectional design and a correlational scope. The Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale (1993) and the FACES IV-Spanish (2017) were used, applied to 22 primary caregivers. The results showed that the participants exhibited medium, high, and very high levels of resilience; furthermore, it was found that families displayed balanced levels of adaptability. Finally, the research concluded that good levels of resilience contribute to the family group showing positive or healthy levels of adaptability.
