There are many companies competing aggressively for the top position in popular search engines. As a general rule, the sites that appear higher on the search results tend to get more traffic in Web pages, and thus potentially more business. This article describes the main models to enrich the search results with information such as dates or locations; key-value type information that allows the user to interact with the contents of a Web page directly from the search results. The main contribution of this paper is to show the usefulness of different markup formats to enrich fragments of a Web page in order to help companies that are planning to deploy semantic enrichment methods on the structuring of their websites.Item On the implementation of a Laboratory of Digital Television according to the ISDB-Tb standard(Universidad de Cuenca, 2014) Medina, J.; Villa, C.; Saquicela Galarza, Víctor Hugo; Espinoza Mejía, Jorge Mauricio; Astudillo, D.; Albán, H.; Palacio Baus, Kenneth Samuel; Universidad de Cuenca; Dirección de Investigación de la Universidad de Cuenca; DIUCThis paper summarizes the implementation process of the Digital Television (DTV) Laboratory of the University of Cuenca according to the open television broadcasting ISDB-Tb standard, adopted by Ecuador in 2010. The Laboratory arises as a research and testing environment for Digital Television DTV signal transmission and interactive applications. The goal of this article is to document the aspects that have been considered to simulate a real DTV scenario where: a Transport Stream (TS) is first generated, then transmitted through the communication channel and finally, received in televisions using an ISDB-Tb receiver. The TS is formed by combining DTV audiovisual content and interactive applications. Therefore, it facilitates the development and testing of new services and allows taking full advantage of the characteristics of the new DTV adopted format.Item Sistema de recomendación de contenidos audiovisuales: Algoritmo de inferencia semántica(Universidad de Cuenca, 2014) Avila, J.; Riofrío, X.; Palacio Baus, Kenneth Samuel; Espinoza Mejía, Jorge Mauricio; Saquicela Galarza, Víctor Hugo; Universidad de Cuenca; Dirección de Investigación de la Universidad de CuencaThis article presents the analysis of a Semantic Inference Algorithm used in an Audiovisual Content Recommender System in the domain of Digital Television. The obtained results show that the inclusion of distinct semantic properties and their combinations lead to a considerable reduction of the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) obtained for user rating prediction computation and that the semantic property Actor has the major influence over recommendation estimation.
