Item Manejo de la diversidad en educación inicial y preparatoria: importancia de las percepciones docentes(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-04) Brito Calle, Erika Michelle; Delgado Granda, Ana LilianaThe present work is of a monographic type, in which the importance of the teacher's perceptions is investigated in providing adequate educational attention based on the diversity of children in initial and preparatory education. Educational diversity is a topic considered important today within the educational field given that diversity is a reality with which every teacher must learn to work. For this reason, there is legislation that responds to educational inclusion, to guarantee quality education for all. For this reason, the general objective of this work was to analyze the impact of teacher perceptions on the management of diversity in the children's classroom. Therefore, this monographic work was developed using a qualitative approach that required documentary research of a descriptive and explanatory nature. Within the framework of the bibliographic analysis, two categories have been proposed: teacher perceptions and the management of diversity, in this way, this study reveals some strategies in favor of diversity at the levels of initial education and preparatory. Finally, the results obtained show that teachers' perceptions of diversity in early childhood education are a determinant that conditions the educational quality offered by the teacher. Teaching in diversity must be seen by the teacher as an opportunity that provides different learning experiences, and also helps create space for respect and appreciation.
