The degree work Gender approach in directive positions at the University of Cuenca, 2020 aims to analyze and contribute solutions in gender relations of the professional and administrative body of the University of Cuenca. This research seeks to study the occupational situation of women within the University in terms of gender. In order to carry out this research, a historical and legislative review of women in the labor field is carried out, as well as a study of the sex-gender categories. From this, a qualitative and quantitative survey is elaborated to determine the levels of satisfaction in being part of the different leadership positions. This has the purpose of determining the personal and institutional variables that influence the location of the positions within the University of Cuenca. By obtaining the results we seek to make a critical analysis on them, in turn, present solutions to the needs and problems that women have to be within the field of leadership based on essential elements that are part of the subject of gender: ethics, deontology and public policies along with the positions of different feminist authors in order to achieve awareness and new knowledge about equality and thus generate new approaches that guide towards equality in leadership positions in the future.
