Item Diseño de un Sistema Automatizado para el Control del Reservorio de la Planta de Agua en la Comunidad Rural Chaglabán en el Cantón Cañar de la Provincia del Cañar(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-07-26) Aguirre Jaramillo, Dicson Ricardo; Buñay Allaico, Luis Antonio; Ortega Ortega, Martín EduardoIn this document, the activities carried out for the development of the technical project related to the design of an automated system to control and supervise the reservoir of the Water Plant in the Rural Community of Chaglabán, located in the Cañar Canton of Cañar province, are detailed. A review and analysis of the existing literature on automated systems in water plant reservoirs for human consumption is conducted. With the variables obtained from field measurements of the water reservoir in the community, an automated control system is designed, utilizing a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), sensor, and solenoid valves. The system logic is defined in the plant automation design, correctly sizing the devices. Detailed control and power schemes for the reservoir automation are included, covering both the PLC block diagram and the complete system wiring. The behavior of the design variables of the control system is analyzed through historical data recording, allowing for the evaluation of the efficiency of the implemented system and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance. The designed system and proposed equipment guarantee the durability and lifespan of the necessary components, as well as the continuity in their operation, reducing failures. This proposal aims to achieve a reliable and sustainable system, capable of meeting the community's needs effectively and consistently.
