Item Elaboración de una guía para el diseño de redes de distribución secundaria con sistemas de generación distribuida en la Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-09-26) Aguilar Galarza, Vanessa Katherine; Marchán Pilco, Patricio Geovanny; Mogrovejo León, Wilson Fernando; Sergio Patricio Zambrano AsanzaThis paper studies the integration of distributed generation through photovoltaic panels in low voltage systems, with the objective of developing a guide for the design of secondary distribution networks with distributed generation systems in Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A. The research starts by analyzing the current regulations in Ecuador and summarizing the impacts of distributed generation on the distribution network to establish the design criteria. A tool is developed to evaluate impacts of distributed generation with two case studies. Each simulation compares a non-generation base scenario with one that incorporates different levels of PV generation into the low-voltage grid. The network model is built from information obtained from ArcGIS and implemented by Python programming. Then, modifications to loads and generators are made using Excel, then in the open-source OpenDSS software, steady-state power flows are generated over time, for the simulation will be entered profiles of photovoltaic generation and energy consumption. With the analysis it is assumed that the safe level of generation in a single-phase network is 75%, while in a three-phase network is 50%. Therefore, this paper offers guidance and methodological approach to address the incorporation of distributed generation in low-voltage systems for design and planning purposes in the region.
