The interest both ¡n the patient and the professional in finding edentulous spaces is to seek a
fixed rehabilitation that can return, besides the aesthetic, ¡ts occlusal functionality, which can offer
a better quality of life to the patient. The purpose of this study is to know the prosthetic status of
patients with fixed prostheses treated at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Cuenca be-
tween 2013 and 2015. We used a universe of 293 patients who were treated in the period 2013
- 2015, a total of 149 patients, 55 men and 94 women were reviewed. The parameters that were
considered to know the state ofthe prosthesis were: Type of marginal misfit, ceramic chipping and
periodontal health through clinical examination.
