Item Valoración de la postura, en los niños y niñas de la unidad educativa Sagrados Corazones; y programa de intervención educativa, Cuenca, 2011-2012(Universidad de Cuenca, 2013-11-11) Alvarado Fajardo, Priscila Leonor; Arias Chávez, Rubén Antonio; Cajamarca Velecela, Mario Javier; Zhindón Galán, Martha DalilaThe present study of type Intervention Participatory Action, aims to promote health in the correct posture of students from first to seventh year of the "Sagrados Corazones" School of the city of Cuenca, during the period January to July 2012, for it was held postural assessment to 533 children to determine the prevalence of postural changes, provide Kinetic treatment, contribute to the development of knowledge, attitudes and good practices through health promotion, as well as making the school a healthy place and therefore be manager of processes that include family and community. The information was obtained from a form, which included postural test with several parameters which were examined by researchers to detect alterations. There is also information about anthropometric measurements: weight, height and body mass index. We performed through educative and communicative Workshops whose effectiveness was measured through CAPs forms, applied before and after the intervention, to assess the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices related to postural health. Of the total of students, 80% have some type of postural alteration in one or more parts of their body. The most common postural changes correspond to: lumbar hyperlordosis (13.16%), followed by pelvic anteverting (12.59%) and bulgy abdomen with a (12.43%), shoulder antepulsion (11.45%), winged scapula (11.37%), neck bending (10.15%), alterations that in most of the cases happened together, which shows the beginning of Upper and Lower Crossed Syndromes. We also found flatfoot (7.07%), scoliosis (5.61%), and other lower frequency alterations.
