    Though the years, technological development has suffered an accelerated change, which has triggered the necessity of correctly aligning technology and business processes in the enterprise, with the goal of fulfilling their strategic goals, thus coining the term Enterprise Architecture. At the University of Cuenca the IT & Communications Department, with the goal of solving the needs of the institution, has suffered in the last years an out of control change in its technological infrastructure, information systems, and human resources, resulting in a group of heterogeneous information systems. In this work an Enterprise Architecture has been designed, which advises on migrating from the current architecture to the desired one, aligned to the business necessities, with a design adapted from the TOGAF Framework, reaching the conclusion that in the proposed enterprise architecture, Phase E of the Architecture Development Method will be reached, allowing a clear and defined proposal for the University’s IT & Communications Department.
