Percepción de la calidad de vida de los usuarios de la Casa del Adulto Mayor del cantón Girón en el período 2020

The quality of life is determined by objective indicators such as economic status, education level and type of housing as well as, social indicators such as happiness and satisfaction, this varies according to culture, times, and social groups. This study attempted to understand the quality of life of older adults from the integral center house for older adults of the town of Girón. The focus of this study was quantitative with a description scope, in which 26 older adults who frequent the center regularly participated. An index was applied and the World Health Organization Quality of Life - Old (WHOQOL-OLD) test was conducted. With the results of the study, it was identified that the perception of the quality of life of older adults leans towards higher scores. In regards to the variable sex, male and females obtained a high tendency score, in quality of life. With regards to the autonomy dimensions and intimacy, these portrayed the highest score. It is concluded that older adults show a good perception of quality of life and in function of each of the social demographic variables (sex, marital status, education level and living alone or accompanied) it was showed that in all, there is a good perception with respect to their quality of life.
