Item Un aporte para la enseñanza de la matemática en Educación General Básica Superior y Bachillerato General Unificado desde la Etnomatemática(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-13) Amay Guillén, Mélanie Nicole; Trelles Zambrano, César AugustoEthnomathematics is an interdisciplinary field that helps understand how various social and cultural groups develop and apply mathematical concepts in their daily lives. As globalization and cultural diversity continue to evolve, the study of ethnomathematics becomes increasingly relevant and significant in the educational context. Moreover, the applications of this discipline have been limited within education, especially in distance learning studies. In this sense, this works seeks to understand and analyze the mathematical practices embedded in the daily work of two trades: metalworking and turning, and how these can enrich the teaching of mathematics in a real context. For these reasons, a qualitative methodology based on ethnography is used for the conceptualization of ethnomathematics and its different characteristics. Then, we proceed with the recognition and interpretation of ethnomathematical elements within the daily tasks of these trades and their relationship with the teaching process. Finally, the implementation of ethnomathematical elements within a guide of activities aimed at students of the Unidad Educativa Promoción Social is concluded.
