    Nowadays, hotel trends are increasingly competitive towards the highest quality, which is why job satisfaction is essential for employees to be able to carry out their activities comfortably. The current study aims to analyze the perception of job satisfaction of multi-skilled employees in the accommodation sector in the canton of Cuenca, Ecuador. There are employees who fulfill various functions within the establishment as they receive much more burden and responsibilities. For the first part of the research, concepts of the topic will be presented to know their importance through a search in documents, books, magazines and articles on job satisfaction and polyvalent positions. As for the research approach, it will be qualitative with exploratory scope through semi-structured interviews directed to the employees of the hotel establishments selected at convenience. It is expected that the result will show lights to understand and evidence if employees are satisfied executing a polyvalent position in the hospitality industry in the city of Cuenca and how this affects their performance at work, as well as their emotions, achievements, motivations. On the other hand, it is also important to show if these positions are registered in entities or institutions.
