Efecto de la inclusión de harina de ají (Capsicum annuum) en el desarrollo de órganos linfoideos y parámetros productivos en pollos de engorde

Abstract

This research evaluated the effect of the addition of fluor chili pepper (Capsicum annuum) meal on the development of lymphoid organs and productive parameters in broilers chicken. Four treatments were used: 1 (control), 2 (0.5% fluor chili pepper), 3 (1% fluor chili pepper), 4 (2% fluor chili pepper), to feed 192 broilers, distributed in four treatments, each with three replicates. The study variables were mean daily weight gain, weekly weight, feed convertion, feed consumption, mortality, thymus development, Fabricius pouch, spleen and benefit-cost analysis. The results obtained were: significant difference (p<0.05) for weekly weight at 21 days, with the treatment 2 obtaining the highest weight about 737.14g; at 42 days, the treatment 2 achieved the best weekly weight about 2559.02g. The average daily weight gain was better in the treatment 2 with 59.77g. Final feed conversion was better in treatment 2 with 1.63; there was no significant difference in feed consumption and mortality was lower in treatment 3. At 21 days, treatment 3 achieved better thymus weight with 2.38g, while treatment 4 achieved better weight of the bursa of Fabricius and spleen with 1.7g and 0.65g, respectively. At 42 days, treatment 3 achieved the best results in the weight of these organs. Regarding production costs, treatment 2 achieved the best benefit-cost ratio with 1.20. It is concluded that the addition of chili bell pepper meal in broiler feed has positive effects on both immunity and productive parameters.
