Diseño y producción de un documental sobre el sombrero de paja toquilla para revalorizar la cultura

Abstract

The objective of this project is instill and revalue the actual image of the traditional toquilla straw hat in Cuenca, Ecuador using a documentary video with the implementation of infographics for a better understanding. This document explain the process followed according to the methodologies proposed by Rafael Ráfols and Ambrose Harris, both adequate and distributed in three sections. The first refers to the creativity phase, the topic is defined, there is a field investigation, and the ideation proceeds, all these steps together help to determine problems to be solved in the brief, ending the first phase, considering that creativity can continue to be present throughout the entire project since you never stop being creative. In the second section, the pre-production phase is developed, and by knowing the key places through previous field research, recordings, information gathering and prototypes, sketches, drafts, etc., are made in the motion graphics part. to then select the ones that are most attached to the brief. The third section covers the production process, the use of specific software for video and motion graphics, where the previously selected sketches are implemented and are exposed to test projections either to the tutor or to the assigned court to have feedback based on constructive criticism, and if necessary, this process will be repeated. Finally, in the last section, a reflection is made on the lessons learned during the development process of this project.
