dc.description | Antecedentes: La actividad física y el embarazo han tenido una relación muy cuestionada. Es por eso que el presente trabajo recopila mediante la evidencia científica, las ventajas de realizar actividad física durante el periodo de gestación y las contraindicaciones a la hora de prescribir la actividad física. Objetivo: Analizar la influencia de la actividad física en el embarazo mediante una revisión bibliográfica. Metodología: Se basa en una revisión sistemática y literaria de artículos publicados en la última década en inglés y español de bases digitales de libre acceso desde el centro de documentación de la Universidad de Cuenca, también artículos en revistas indexadas filtradas en la página Scimago. Los criterios de búsqueda que se tomaron en cuenta fueron palabras claves como: “embarazo”, “gestante”, “actividad física”, “ejercicio físico”. Resultados: La evidencia científica nos muestra una relación directa entre la actividad física y el embarazo en donde encontramos beneficios de gran importancia tanto para la mujer gestante y el feto. Siendo los beneficios más citados: la disminución de la aparición de diabetes gestacional y obesidad, reducción de la probabilidad de cesáreas, mejora el ánimo y salud mental; además de crear un hábito saludable de realización de actividad física continúa. Principales actividades físicas más citadas que se realizan durante el embarazo: caminar, ejercicios acuáticos, yoga, pilates, bicicleta estática, gimnasia aeróbica. Conclusión: Este trabajo deja en evidencia la importancia de realizar actividad física durante el embarazo; así como, las recomendaciones mínimas que se deben conocer antes de empezar con el ejercicio y la prescripción del mismo tomando en cuenta la frecuencia, intensidad, tiempo y tipo de ejercicio | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Background: Physical activity and pregnancy have had a very questioned relationship. That is why this work collects through scientific evidence, the advantages of physical activity during the gestation period and contraindications when prescribing physical activity. Objective: To analyze the influence of physical activity on pregnancy through a literature review. Methodology: It is based on a systematic and literary review of articles published in the last decade in English and Spanish of digital bases of free access from the documentation center of the University of Cuenca, also articles in indexed journals filtered in the scimago page. The search criteria that were taken into account were key words such as: "pregnancy", "pregnant", "physical activity", "physical exercise". Results: Scientific evidence shows a direct relationship between physical activity and pregnancy where we find benefits of great importance for both the pregnant woman and the fetus. Being the most cited benefits: the decrease in the appearance of gestational diabetes and obesity, reduction of the probability of caesarean sections, improves mood and mental health; in addition to creating a healthy habit of continuous physical activity. Main most cited physical activities that are performed during pregnancy: walking, water exercises, yoga, pilates, stationary bike, aerobic gymnastics. Conclusion: This work highlights the importance of physical activity during pregnancy; as well as the minimum recommendations that should be known before starting with exercise and the prescription of it taking into account the frequency, intensity, time and type of exercise | en_US |
