Las narrativas modulares como apoyo para la construcción de un guion que cuenta varias historias en un mismo relato

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to recognize and learn how to use modular narratives as support for the construction of a script that tells several stories in the same account. To do this, it was necessary to divide the project into three chapters. In the first, it is developed a large part of the theory concerning what a narrative is and what types of narratives exist. This approach is based on the narrative models made by David Bordwell (1996). The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of films according to the types of modular narratives postulated by Allan Cameron (2008); where films such as Pulp Fiction (1996), by Quentin Tarantino, or Amores Perros, (2000) by Alejandro González Iñárritu, are classified as anachronistic modular narratives. Likewise, the last chapter applies all the revised theory, including the 22 steps to narrate a film by John Truby (2007), in the construction of a modular structure for the script called Retorno (title proposed by the author of this project). Finally, throughout this study, it is intended to establish consistent theoretical bases for further practical use of modular narratives in a literary script
