El proceso de hibridación cultural entre la población venezolana y cuencana en el reciente proceso migratorio

Abstract

In base of the growing arrival of Venezuelans people to Cuenca in the past few years, it is necessary to understand the new social configurations that emerged from this interaction. It becomes pertinent to study the possibility of an cultural mixture between these two groups of people for the time that they have been cohabiting. This simple-embedded case study seeks an analysis about the possible process of cultural hybridity from the immigrant perspective mainly. For its understanding there is a theoretical dissection of the bibliographical content for the possibility of analyzing the context in accordance to the explicative needs of the case. It utilized semi structured interviews and life stories to analyze cultural relation between those two populations. Through the application of speech analysis and conceptual diagrams the results were analyzed, and led to the creation of three main variables for the understanding of these process: the cultural interaction raised in these new scenery, the continuous process of identification, and the expectations for the future of the immigrant group; from those analyzed the actual conflictive dynamic between those populations.
