Eficiencia energética en la Planta Yanbal Ecuador S.A.

Abstract

The work title ‘’Eficiencia energética en la Planta Yanbal Ecuador’’, will do the energy diagnosis through analysis of the different electrical systems, making it possible to know the current situation of the plant. With this knowledge, measures will be proposed to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs. This work is divided into five chapters; in each chapter will discuss different topics allowing the transfer of information to readers in a understandable and organized way. In the first chapter it will do an introduction of the electrical installations, the elements that compose it, the energy quality factors. In the second chapter discussed the standards for energy audit, the audit is done based on international standards such as IEEE standards, ISO standards, and others. The third chapter deals with energy efficiency issues, the methodology followed by an energy audit, in addition, analyzing the elements that are efficient and which systems can be improved. The study and analysis of the Yanbal plant is carried out in the fourth chapter, the distribution system, the grounding and the lightning rod systems are reviewed. In addition, line-to-line voltages, harmonics and thermographic measurements are analyzed. A study is made to improve energy efficiency while verifying the previous and current electrical consumption (years 2016 – 2018) with the implementation of electrical light saving luminaries. Finally, in chapter five conclusions and recommendations are given.
