Abstract
This intervention project aims to develop a
diagnosis of the tourism potential of the Virgen Pamba Commune, belonging to the
Azogues Canton, Cañar Province.
The work is based on a field investigation that is divided
into nine key points for their respective analysis. For this reason, we collected
data through surveys that were applied to all the partners of the
community due to the lack of these, at the same time it was necessary to obtain
secondary information from documents such as: zoning plans and
territorial, cantonal and parochial development.
Subsequently, for the identification of potential tourism resources
the parameters established by the Ministry of Tourism of the
Ecuador in 2018, while to determine the potential demand,
applied 137 surveys through the digital tool Kobotoolbox divided
in: 69 in the city of Cuenca virtually and 68 in the city of Azogues
in person according to a geographical criterion by frequency of visit,
where the selected places were Parque Infantil, Parque del Migrante and
Terrestrial Terminal Second Serrano. As a result of the surveys applied
the profile of the tourist who will visit the Virgen Pamba Commune was obtained.
Finally, with the information obtained throughout the project and with the use
of participatory methodologies, proposals for strategic actions are proposed
divided into three important aspects: tourism products and services; appearance
social and environmental aspect. The same ones that were structured to improve
the sustainable use of the resources of the Commune and the quality of life
of the population.

Resumen
El presente proyecto de intervención tiene como objetivo elaborar un
diagnóstico del potencial turístico de la Comuna Virgen Pamba, perteneciente al
Cantón Azogues, Provincia de Cañar.
El trabajo parte de una investigación de campo que se encuentra dividida
en nueve puntos claves para su respectivo análisis. Por tal motivo se recopilaron
datos mediante encuestas que fueron aplicadas a todos los socios de la
comunidad debido a la carencia de estos, al mismo tiempo fue necesario obtener
información secundaria de documentos como: planes de ordenamiento y
desarrollo territorial, cantonal y parroquial.
Posteriormente, para la identificación de los recursos turísticos potenciales
se cumplió con los parámetros establecidos por el Ministerio de Turismo del
Ecuador en 2018, mientras que para determinar la demanda potencial se
aplicaron 137 encuestas mediante la herramienta digital Kobotoolbox divididas
en: 69 en la ciudad de Cuenca de manera virtual y 68 en la ciudad de Azogues
de modo presencial de acuerdo a un criterio geográfico por frecuencia de visita,
donde los lugares seleccionados fueron Parque Infantil, Parque del Migrante y
Terminal Terrestre Segundo Serrano. Como resultado de las encuestas aplicadas
se obtuvo el perfil de turista que visitará la Comuna Virgen Pamba.
Finalmente, con la información obtenida a lo largo del proyecto y con el uso
de metodologías participativas, se plantean propuestas de acciones estratégicas
divididas en tres aspectos importantes: productos y servicios turísticos; aspecto
social y aspecto ambiental. Los mismos que fueron estructurados para mejorar
el aprovechamiento sostenible de los recursos de la Comuna y la calidad de vida
de la población.
