Abstract

Within the music industry, one can find innumerable ramifications of genres and musical styles, each with it's vernacular roots of the region to which they belong; However, the present work refers about the study of a very relevant genre within that of the music of the masses; The Pop in fusion with traits of the blues, rock and funk. The transversal axis of our work is the search for techniques for orchestration and composition of pop music, which contribute to the comprehension of musical arrangements and unpublished compositions established within the framework of the graduation process. It is considered as notable difficulties, the lack of records of documents regarding the composition of pop music, however as a reference it has been taken the traditional academic material in terms of terminology and techniques of composition and orchestration. That is why this document seeks, to obtain guidelines for the elaboration of this type of music; Revising aspects such as: lyrics, harmony, melody, instrumentation, etc. Although the production of the musical themes belong to a practical context, the elaboration of them have been carried out under the structural analysis and research of the referring subjects, for this reason it is established as a recommendation, take the necessary time for the assimilation and the correct familiarization by hearing the issues involved, then perform the respective formal analyzes and dispel any doubt as like the musical style that is being examined.
