dc.descriptionAntecedentes: la evaluación formal de la satisfacción del paciente luego de recibir anestesia neuroaxial, es uno de los aspectos menos considerados en nuestro medio, quitándole importancia, esto motivó a realizar esta investigación, para contribuir con más información dentro de un proceso integral de mejora de la calidad en la salud. Objetivo: Determinar el grado de satisfacción de los pacientes sometidos a cirugía electiva con anestesia neuroaxial. Metodología: estudio observacional descriptivo, en una muestra de 270 pacientes sometidos a procedimientos quirúrgicos planificados que, ameritaron el uso de anestesia neuroaxial; para recolectar la información se usó un cuestionario de percepción de calidad anestésica (CPCA); previamente se garantizó la confidencialidad de la información y la firma del consentimiento informado por parte del paciente. Para el análisis de la información se usó estadística descriptiva e inferencial con un 95% de confianza. Resultados: la media de edad fue de 47,5 años ± 17,8, el sexo femenino conformado por el 54,1% de los pacientes. Tras la evaluación mediante el CPCA se determinó que, el 52,6% de los pacientes se encontró relativamente satisfecho y, el 43,7% satisfechos. Acerca de la atención del anestesiólogo, el 54,4% de los pacientes la evaluaron como excelente. Conclusiones: el nivel de satisfacción de los pacientes sometidos a anestesia neuroaxial está entre relativamente satisfecho y satisfecho.en_US
dc.description.abstractBackground: The formal evaluation of patient satisfaction after receiving neuraxial anesthesia is one of the least considered aspects in our environment, reducing its importance, this motivated us to carry out this research, to contribute with more information within a comprehensive process of improvement of quality in health. Objective: To decide the degree of satisfaction of patients undergoing elective surgery with neuraxial anesthesia. Methodology: Descriptive observational study, in a sample of 270 patients submitted to planned surgical procedures that required the use of neuraxial anesthesia; To collect the information, an Anesthetic Quality Perception Questionnaire (CPCA) was used; The confidentiality of the information and the signing of the informed consent by the patient were previously guaranteed. Descriptive and inferential statistics with 95% confidence are used for the analysis of the information. Results: The mean age was 47.5 ± 17.8 years, the female sex made up of 54.1% of the patients. After the evaluation using the CPCA, it was determined that 52.6% of the patients were relatively satisfied and 43.7% were satisfied. Regarding the anesthesiologist's care, 54.4% of the patients evaluated it as excellent. Conclusions: The level of satisfaction of patients undergoing neuraxial anesthesia is between relatively satisfied and satisfied.en_US
