Abstract
This article aims to analyze the communitary water management in
the Regional Potable Water Board of Zhidmad. The guide questions used
to accomplish this project are the following: ¿What is the community
cosmovision about the water? ¿How the community water board organizes
to manage this natural resource? ¿How does the community participate in
the mentioned management? Furthermore, based on theory of the commons
goods, aboard the communitary water management, understanding it
as a human right.
The primary conclusions obtained are the maintenance of the millenary
tradition called minga as communitary participation for the water management,
as well as the community commitment to protect the fountains
that grant access to the vital liquid.
Resumen
El presente artículo tiene como finalidad analizar la gestión comunitaria
del agua en la Junta de Agua Potable Regional de Zhidmad. Para ello, las preguntas
que sirven de guía al trabajo son: ¿Cuál es la cosmovisión de la comunidad
respecto al agua?, ¿Cómo se organiza la Junta para gestionar éste
recurso natural?, ¿Cómo participa la comunidad en dicha gestión? Además,
a partir de la teoría del gobierno de los bienes comunes, aborda la gestión
comunitaria del agua, entendiendo a ésta como un derecho humano.
Las principales conclusiones obtenidas son el mantenimiento de la
tradición milenaria de la minga como participación comunitaria para la
gestión del agua, así como el compromiso de la comunidad para proteger
las fuentes que permiten el acceso al líquido vital.
