| dc.description | Este estudio se enfocó en analizar la situación de la innovación en la educación superior en turismo a través de una revisión sistemática de la literatura. El objetivo fue analizar los procesos de innovación en la educación superior en el campo del turismo posterior a la pandemia Covid-19. Este estudio empleó un análisis basado en el método PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) para realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura (RSL) con base en las bases de datos de Scopus. Como resultado se obtuvo una reflexión teórica sobre el estudio, así como el análisis bibliométrico de 20 documentos desde 2019 hasta 2024. También se identificaron las tendencias de la innovación en educación superior y turismo como línea de investigación. Se concluyó que la Covid-19 fue un detonante para innovaciones disruptivas. Los cambios profundos en la educación superior en turismo suceden lentamente y en función de los sistemas educativos, lo cual demuestra que es necesario romper la burbuja académica e integrarse a escenarios reales de la actividad turística. Así, la innovación de la educación en turismo tiene un carácter incremental centrado últimamente en la implementación de inteligencia artificial. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This study focused on analyzing the situation of innovation in higher education in tourism through a systematic review of literature. The objective was to analyze the innovation processes in higher education in the field of tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used an analysis based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) method to perform a systematic literature review (SLR) based on Scopus databases. As a result, a theoretical reflection on the study was obtained, as well as the bibliometric analysis of 20 documents from 2019 to 2024. Trends in innovation in higher education and tourism were also identified as a line of research. It was concluded that Covid-19 was a trigger for disruptive innovations. Profound changes in higher education in tourism occur slowly and depending on the educational systems, which shows that it is necessary to break the academic bubble and integrate into real scenarios of tourism activity. Thus, innovation in tourism education has an incremental nature, lately focused on the implementation of artificial intelligence. | |
