Propuesta de elaboración de matrices para evaluar la sostenibilidad turística de hoteles de tercera categoría de la ciudad de Cuenca

Abstract

The importance of Cuenca's hotels is outstanding. Thanks to it, there are overnight places where national and international tourists go day after day. In Santa Ana de los Ríos de Cuenca, there are hotels categorized from five to one stars. This research aims to elaborate three matrices to evalue the touristic sustainability of third category hotels.

The four hotels that as part of the group are: Gran Hotel, Norte, Pichincha, and Tito. The principal objective of these matrices is to evalue the peak of the touristic sustainability, not only from the environmental perspective, but also from the social and economic perspectives.

For this purpose was proposed the three piece matrix evaluation. Thanks to this system, it will be possible to have the most important information to get a diagnosis of the environmental, social, and economic situations of third category establishments of the city.
