| dc.description | La presente investigación se enfoca en la reinterpretación de la leyenda urbana La Noche de los Giles de la ciudad de Cuenca (Ecuador), que tiene por objetivo enriquecer su tradición escrita por medio de una obra visual contemporánea. El objetivo principal es propiciar el tránsito de las leyendas urbanas, hacia el ámbito de la cultura visual mediante ilustraciones digitales que permitan conectar y despertar nuevamente el interés de las nuevas generaciones por este relato ocurrido en 1985. La metodología que se empleó combina el arte digital junto al enfoque expresionista para así crear una serie de cuatro ilustraciones, las mismas que encapsulan los momentos claves y simbólicos de esta leyenda. Los resultados obtenidos muestran cómo estas obras no solo representan los hechos ocurridos el 3 de noviembre de 1985, sino que también reinterpretan visualmente su significado, favoreciendo la conexión con el público moderno y ofreciendo una nueva forma de preservación de las leyendas urbanas a través del arte visual que se encuentran presentes en la memoria colectiva. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This research focuses on the reinterpretation of the urban legend La Noche de los Giles from the city of Cuenca (Ecuador), which aims to enrich its written tradition through a contemporary visual work. The main objective is to promote the transition of urban legends into the field of visual culture through digital illustrations that allow connecting and reawakening the interest of new generations in this story that occurred in 1985. The methodology used combines digital art with an expressionist approach to create a series of four illustrations, which encapsulate the key and symbolic moments of this legend. The results obtained show how these works not only represent the events that occurred on November 3, 1985, but also visually reinterpret their meaning, favoring the connection with the modern public and offering a new way of preserving urban legends through visual art that is present in the collective memory. | |
