Abstract
The critical component of the Spanish American modernism has been characterized in terms of a symbolic rebellion. In the chronicles of the anarchical Argentinean writer, Alberto Ghiraldo (1875-1946) that were
produced in the first quarter of the XX century, we analyze some topics where the author attempts to give a militant dimension to his aesthetic discourse. We find certain specificity in his notion of history that tends to dilute in a modality of enunciation which is borrowed from the modern aspirations of reconstituting the authority of the literary discourse.
Resumen
Se suele caracterizar el componente crítico del modernismo hispanoamericano en términos de una rebelión simbólica. Analizamos en las crónicas del escritor anarquista argentino Alberto Ghiraldo (1875-1946) producidas en el primer cuarto del siglo XX algunos tópicos a partir de los cuales el autor intenta dotar a su discurso estético de una dimensión militante. Hallamos en su concepción de la historia una cierta especificidad que, sin embargo, tiende a diluirse en una modalidad de enunciación deudora de las aspiraciones modernistas de reconstitución de la autoridad del discurso literario.
