Proyecto artístico relacional para el fomento de una conciencia patrimonial sobre la arquitectura residencial del centro histórico de Cuenca

Abstract

Memorias explores the fragility of cultural heritage that faces the inevitable social changes inherent to the passage of time, seeking to raise awareness, sensitize and educate the public about its importance. Through a sculptural, ludic and objectual proposal, it seeks to generate a connection between the spectator and the houses of the historic center of Cuenca, highlighting above all their ornamental elements. The work not only reflects practices such as the stone and bone mosaics in the entrance hallways or the details in French style characteristic of historicism and architectural eclecticism, but also evokes historical personalities who contributed to the growth of the city. Thus, by incorporating the rich iconography of the past into interactive experiences, the work transforms the contemplative attitude into active participation, which enhances the communicative, cognitive and educational functions of art through a sensitizing aesthetic experience.
