Abstract

The congenital double lip is a rare anatomical condition, occurs most often in the upper lip at the lower, producing aesthetic changes, the speech and mastication, in the sufferer. We have treated two cases of congenital double lip, one for aesthetic reasons and the other one forfunctional reasons; no one of the patients developed postoperative complication such as half labial constriction. Were resolved by elliptical incisión technique, with satisfactory aesthetic and functional results.
