Abstract
The role of the teacher in relation to gender roles within the educational environment is highly
questioned by practitioners and some school teachers. Therefore, this monographic work focuses
on determining through a bibliographic review from the recovery and bibliographic analysis
through physical and digital texts such as: articles, master's and doctoral theses on how gender roles
affect the educational practices of Basic Education teachers. To this end, this work consists of three
chapters which theoretically address what is the teaching role in the teaching-learning process,
what are gender roles and a contrast on the teaching role versus gender roles. In this sense, the
teaching role within the educational environment is the generator of actions and responsible for
their commitments so that their work shows relevant results. On the other hand, gender roles are
social constructions that are adjusted to the culture to which the subjects belong and that these, in
turn, change over time. Therefore, it is a current need to address gender roles in the educational
field, since it should not only be taken as a subject but as an attitude of life, since, as future teachers
in practice, we will find daily situations in the classroom, where we will have to recognize, promote
and train in gender equality, based on the recognition of diversities.
Resumen
El rol del docente frente a los roles de género dentro del ámbito educativo, es muy cuestionado por
los practicantes y algunos docentes de las escuelas. Por ende, el presente trabajo monográfico se
enfoca en determinar mediante una revisión bibliográfica desde la recuperación y análisis
bibliográfico a través de textos físicos y digitales como: artículos, tesis de maestría y doctorales
sobre cómo los roles de género inciden en las prácticas educativas de los docentes de Educación
Básica. Con este fin, este trabajo consta de tres capítulos donde se aborda teóricamente cuál es el
rol docente en el proceso de enseñanza–aprendizaje, qué son los roles de género y una contrastación
sobre el rol docente frente a los roles de género. En este sentido, el rol docente dentro del ámbito
educativo es el generador de acciones y responsable de sus compromisos para que su trabajo
muestre resultados relevantes. Por otro lado, los roles de género son construcciones sociales que se
ajustan a la cultura que pertenecen los sujetos y que estos a su vez van cambiando con el pasar del
tiempo. Por ende, es una necesidad actual abordar los roles de género en el ámbito educativo, ya
que no solo debe ser tomado como una asignatura sino como una actitud de vida; pues, como
futuros docentes en la práctica, encontraremos situaciones cotidianas en las aulas, donde se tendrá
que reconocer, fomentar y formar en igualdad de género, a partir del reconocimiento de las
diversidades.
