Abstract
The present work investigates the creation of musical themes based on the musicalization
of biblical texts and their adaptation to the Rock musical genre for an instrumental format of
Rhythmic Section that will be executed and interpreted in the Sunday liturgy of the Calvary
Chapel Church of the city from Cuenca.
During its development, we are framed in highlighting the importance of creating new
liturgical music in accordance with current musical manifestations. And for this we take biblical
texts with which we create rhythmic-melodic motifs and we use composition and arrangement
techniques applied to melody and harmony. All this under the influence of the Rock genre.
Resumen
El presente trabajo investiga la creación de temas musicales fundamentadas en la
musicalización de textos bíblicos y la adaptación de los mismos a género musical Rock para un
formato instrumental de Sección Rítmica que serán ejecutadas e interpretadas en la liturgia
dominical de la Iglesia Capilla Calvario de la ciudad de Cuenca.
Durante el desarrollo del mismo nos enmarcamos en destacar la importancia de crear nueva
música litúrgica acorde con las manifestaciones musicales de la actualidad. Y para ello tomamos
textos bíblicos con los que creamos motivos rítmicos-melódicos y usamos técnicas de
composición y arreglos aplicadas a la melodía y armonía. Todo esto bajo la influencia del género
Rock.
