Serie pictórica ilustrada para espacio urbano: Gualaceo y su memoria olvidada

Abstract

The project began with a bibliographic investigation, an interview, collection of photographs of current historical events in Gualaceo, assessment and classification of information, rescue of relevant events such as: the unofficial history and the passage of Simón Bolívar through the town and part of the life of Luis Moreno, El Pisho. Implementation of irony as rhetoric of the image, sketching, production of a pictorial series and a medium format painting that managed to locate the iconic Simón Bolívar through a popular utopian imaginary as a character and typical inhabitant of Gualaceo. The urban space was intervened, through the poster of the peculiar character of the popular culture of Gualaceña, Luis Moreno, thus achieving a different approach with the spectator. Management of exhibition space, assembly of the exhibition, exhibition of the work done, looking for a direct contact of the artist, work and spectator including in this way more in the art of local popular culture and through it preserve it.
