Inducción de brotación en el cultivo de Selenicereus sp (pitahaya) mediante la aplicación de ácido giberélico en la granja El Romeral de la Universidad de Cuenca en Guachapala-Azuay

| dc.description | Selenicereus sp. es un cultivo importante en el contexto internacional, es por ello que el potencial de exportación se va incrementando, sin embargo, la brotación irregular de esta es un problema importante en la producción comercial. Este estudio planteó como objetivos evaluar el efecto de la aplicación de ácido giberélico para la inducción de brotes en Selenicereus sp. en la granja El Romeral. Para lo cual se seleccionó 18 plantas que estuvieran vigorosas, aplicándose 6 tratamientos de GA3 (0, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140 ppm) con tres repeticiones en un diseño de bloques completamente al azar, la aplicación se realizó en toda la planta hasta observar goteo. La variable a evaluar fue el número de brotes que presentó cada tratamiento. Determinando que no existe diferencias representativas entre los tratamientos de GA3 (p=0,7587), sin embargo, se observó cierta tendencia en la brotación. En conclusión, la aplicación de GA3 tuvo tendecia hacia una mayor brotación, mismo que sugiere que si no presenta un efecto concluyente, el tratamiento podría presentar un impacto positivo para la inducción de brotación de Selenicereus sp. en la granja experimental El Romeral de la Universidad de Cuenca. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Selenicereus sp. is an important crop in the international context, which is why its export potential is increasing; however, irregular sprouting is an important problem in commercial production. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the application of gibberellic acid for the induction of sprouting in Selenicereus sp. at the El Romeral farm. For this purpose, 18 vigorous plants were selected and 6 treatments of GA3 (0, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140 ppm) were applied with three replicates in a completely randomised block design, the application being carried out on the whole plant until dripping was observed. The variable to be evaluated was the number of shoots produced by each treatment. It was found that there were no representative differences between the GA3 treatments (p=0.7587), but a certain tendency towards sprouting was observed. In conclusion, the application of GA3 had a tendency towards greater sprouting, which suggests that, although it does not present a definitive effect, the treatment could have a positive impact on the induction of sprouting of Selenicereus sp. at the El Romeral Experimental Farm of the University of Cuenca. | |
