Propuesta de tres rutas de aviturismo alternativas para la provincia del Azuay, 2014

Abstract

The following monograph has the purpose of propose three alternative routes of birdwatching in order to exploit the natural wealth ornithological and thus contributing to the diversification of the tourist attractions in the province of Azuay. To realize this proposal there were took into account aspects such as accessibility, proximity to urban centers, species’ distribution, diversity of attractions, plus analysis of the demand will be considered the same as are necessary to determine the characteristics and location of the paths to create. This work has three chapters, the first one summarizes the evolution of bird watching in the world as well in Ecuador and in the province of Azuay, in the second chapter there will be a description of the geographical features and the physical needs of each places chosen for the realization of the route as location, canton and parish or parishes in which it is located and the GPS coordinates collected during field visits. Similarly there was took into account the process of writing the essay as the methodology, the factors taken into account in choosing the places that are part of the routes, and finally is presented a list with the description of the birds’ species that can be seen on each route.The third chapter is based exclusively on the design of routes and detailed description of the journeys, during field visits trails.
