Retratos contemporáneos de un grupo de adultos mayores del cantón Gualaceo

Abstract

The present project investigated the history of portraiture in art, considering as a basis the study of contemporary portrait and artistic referents, at a World, American and Local level. The creative process arose from deductive research and the synthesis of bibliographic material. After this an inductive exploration will be carried out, with visits to the elderly who maintain the age of 80 to 100 years of the Gualaceo Canton in places where they are located as: shelters, asylums and houses; inquiring into the personal stories and ways of life of the individuals, in order to achieve a photographic record and interviews. Finally, the pictorial work of contemporary portraits will reflect the 5 selected characters with various elements that describe and represent their essence as unique beings of the 21st century.
