Abstract
The present work we investigate, of a monograph type, about Nutrition and early childhood
learning. Perspective of fathers, mothers and caregivers. Because these actors also have a
fundamental role inthe learning and development of infants, this is why the studies has an reason
analyzing the relationship between nutrition and early childhood learning from the perspective of
parents. Likewise, we wanted a bibliographically on the categories and we was realized a field
work. For the development of this research, a qualitative methodology was used and as a data
collection technique, semi-structured interviews were implemented with fathers, mothers and
caregivers of children under 6 years old belonging to the city of Cuenca. At the end of this
investigation, it was concluded that fathers, mothers and caregivers knows the concept of nutrition
and what are the consequences of not having adequate food, but their eating practices are different
because they do not have the necessary preparation and information on this subject. In addition,
some of them are influences by the cultural practices they have.
Resumen
El presenta trabajo de titulación de tipo monográfico se indaga sobre la nutrición y
aprendizaje en la primera infancia. Perspectiva de padres, madres y cuidadores. Pues estos
actores también tienen un papel fundamental dentro del aprendizaje y desarrollo de los infantes,
por esto el estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la relación entre nutrición y aprendizaje en la
primera infancia desde la perspectiva de los padres de familia. Para el desarrollo de la presente
investigación se utilizó una metodología cualitativa, con alcance exploratorio y descriptivo. Así
mismo, se indago bibliográficamente sobre las categorías y se realizó una investigación de
campo. La principal técnica de recolección de información consistió en entrevistas semi
estructuradas a padres, madres y cuidadores de niños menores a 6 años pertenecientes a la ciudad
de Cuenca. Al culminar la investigación se concluyó que los padres, madres y cuidadores
conocen el concepto de nutrición y cuáles son las consecuencias de no contar con una
alimentación adecuada, pero sus prácticas alimentarias son diferentes pues no cuenta con la
preparación e información necesaria sobre este tema. Además, algunos de ellos se dejan
influenciar por las prácticas culturales que poseen.
