dc.descriptionEl presente trabajo surge por el interés de aportar y conocer con estudios técnicos- musicales la escritura, estructura y progresiones armónicas presentes en la música popular ecuatoriana. Al revisar en torno a los registros sonoros de la música popular del Ecuador, se observan diversos acontecimientos socio culturales que han contribuido a la identidad musical que actualmente existe en el país. El mestizaje, el desarrollo de los recursos técnicos en torno a las grabaciones, la evolución de los instrumentos musicales, la industrialización y la globalización de la música, son algunas de las variables que han influenciado el desarrollo de la música en el Ecuador. En este trabajo analítico, cualitativo y etnográfico se ha realizado un análisis musical de tres canciones grabadas por la agrupación musical Los Gatos. El mismo se divide en tres capítulos en los que se aborda, la formación musical de esta agrupación, fundamentos teóricos del análisis musical a partir del método de Phillip Tagg y de la técnica armónica y análisis de Arnold Schoenberg, para finalmente abordar, el análisis de tres canciones grabadas por la agrupación Los Gatos con el modelo propuestoen_US
dc.description.abstractThe present work arises from the interest to contribute and to know with technical- musical studies the writing, structure and harmonic progressions present in Ecuadorian popular music. When reviewing the sound recordings of popular music in Ecuador, we observe diverse socio-cultural events that have contributed to the musical identity that currently exists in the country. Cultural mix, the development of technical resources for recordings, the evolution of musical instruments, industrialization and the globalization of music are some of the variables that have influenced the development of music in Ecuador. In this analytical, qualitative and ethnographic work, a musical analysis of three songs recorded by the musical group Los Gatos has been carried out. It is divided into three chapters that address the musical formation of this group, the theoretical foundations of musical analysis based on the method of Phillip Tagg and the harmonic technique and analysis of Arnold Schoenberg, to finally address the analysis of three songs recorded by the group Los Gatos with the proposed model.en_US
