Abstract
Suicidal Practices: a review of the performative body from physical resistance, presents
in its first part, a brief approach on performance, then an analysis of possibilities of
representation resulting from contexts on action art in the history of art. This works has been
selected based on criteria and concepts of artists who use pain or physical resistance. The
author understands the "suicidal practices" from the voluntary risk of using the body as a tool
of political art. The political is understood within this research as the approaches of
resistance, (denunciation, catharsis and irruption) that, from the meta-narrative as personal
discourse, culminate in a breakdown of the researcher's works, which understand and make
visible the interests and debates on heteronormativity, violence, pain, body, in the series
called Cain in the showcase.
Resumen
Prácticas Suicidas: una revisión del cuerpo performático desde la resistencia física
plantea en su primera parte, un breve acercamiento sobre el performance, luego un análisis de
posibilidades de representación devenidas de contextos sobre arte acción en la historia del
arte. Las obras han sido seleccionadas sobre la base de criterios y conceptos de artistas que
usan el dolor o la resistencia física. El autor comprende las prácticas suicidas desde el riesgo
voluntario de usar el cuerpo como herramienta de arte político. Lo político es entendido
dentro de esta investigación como los enfoques de resistencia, (denuncia, catarsis e irrupción)
que desde el metarrelato como discurso personal culminan en un desglose de obras del
investigador, las que comprenden y visibilizan los intereses y debates sobre
heteronormatividad, violencia, dolor, cuerpo, en la serie denominada Caín en el escaparate.
