Propuesta de un modelo de gestión para el desarrollo turístico de la parroquia rural San Luis de Cumbe, cantón Cuenca, 2023-2025

Abstract

The objective of this degree work is to propose a management model for the tourism development of the rural parish of San Luis de Cumbe, Cuenca canton, Ecuador. It was based on a comprehensive analysis of the territorial and tourist situation of the parish through a methodology with a qualitative approach, in order to establish parameters that guide the management and tourism planning of the territory, promoting its economic and social dynamization. In this context, the management model takes as a reference the criteria proposed by Youcheng Wang (2011), which incorporate from the concept and scope of management to tourism promotion and marketing. In the first instance, the physical-spatial, ecological, socio-cultural and economic-productive spheres of the territory were diagnosed. Subsequently, a structure of a sustainable management model was developed, through the use of technical documents that establish methodological guides to structure the model in 4 phases: tourism diagnosis, planning, design of strategies and ex ante evaluation of the proposal. Finally, with the established structure, the phases were applied to the territorial case; through the tourist analysis and internal and external characteristics of the parish, strategies were designed with their respective tourism projects together with their evaluation tool.
