Abstract

This work is a review of networks in general, and then focus on the medical and educational use. The particulars of these areas make them important factors when designing a telecommunications infrastructure. It performs an analysis of packet-level SIP communication protocol, and dimension for understanding better the infrastructure. The collection of field information about the offered services and telematics service quality of current users of the institution, provides insight into the shortcomings and improvements to ensure this proposal. Finally a telematics infrastructure through diagrams, logical and physical distributions of telematics features including the equipment that will enable its operation is proposed.
