Abstract

The degree project discussed here is the result of an investigation based on child abduction in Ecuadorian society, to reflect reality through object art. This search for information has its starting point in terms of the modalities, concepts, consequences, and statistics of the kidnapping; in the same way, it is considered how the present topic has had an impact on art, its different periods throughout history, and dealing with the question of the artist's ethics in his works consequent to the issue of kidnapping, thus concluding with the reflections pertinent on the artwork that's being made for this project; processes, sketches, records, etc.
