Abstract
The purpose of the present investigation is the realization of musical arrangements of four songs of the Hard Rock band, KISS, for the guitar ensemble format; as well as the exposition of the techniques and the resources used.
First, data related to the history and general characteristics of both Hard Rock and the KISS band are presented.
Then, the way in which one should work with the selected instrumental format is exposed, in this case, guitar ensemble.
Subsequently, the techniques and arrangements that were used in each of the sections of the arrangements are detailed.
To conclude, in the section ANEXOS, the scores of the four selected songs, transcribed in original format, are shown.
Resumen
El propósito de la presente investigación es la realización de arreglos musicales de cuatro canciones de la banda de Hard Rock, KISS, para el formato ensamble de guitarras; así como la exposición de las técnicas y los recursos arreglísticos empleados.
En primer lugar, se presentan datos relacionados a la historia y características generales, tanto del Hard Rock, como de la banda KISS.
Luego, se expone la forma en la que se debe trabajar con el formato instrumental seleccionado, en este caso, ensamble de guitarras.
Posteriormente, se detallan las técnicas y recursos arreglísticos que se usaron en cada una de las secciones de los arreglos.
Para concluir, en el apartado ANEXOS, se muestran las partituras de las cuatro canciones seleccionadas, transcritas en formato original.
