Efecto del flipped classroom en la escritura del idioma inglés de los estudiantes de primer año de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Gualaceo

Abstract

The specialized literature has shown that the Flipped Classroom is an innovative method that allows the development of students' skills and abilities regarding the writing of the English language, obtaining important benefits in the improvement of language and oral and written expression. For this reason, the objective of this study is to analyze the effect of the Flipped Classroom on the development of the writing skills of the English language of the first-year high school students of the Gualaceo Educational Unit. For this, a quasiexperimental, quantitative and descriptive investigation was carried out, through which an intervention was implemented to improve the writing skills of the English language in two groups of students. As a data collection technique, a pre and posttest was implemented and the writing prompt was used as an instrument. In the results, an increase in the means of the criteria by rubric and the total average, as well as the hypothesis verification, allowed us to accept the alternative hypothesis that this method causes positive effects in the students. It was concluded that there was a better use of vocabulary and information structuring after the intervention.
