    La dirección de actores en el cine de comedia aplicado al guion “Quiero ser payaso"

    The purpose of this thesis is to help clarify and redeem the work of an actors’ director in a comedy; due to the fact that in our country, this genre and filming in general have had a lacking of an acting level. Additionally, it analyzes the different tasks an actors’ director must fulfill at the moment of directing and preparing actors, who must play roles properly in a comedy film. First, we are doing research and deducing the different theories and applied concepts of important Film directors, who have contributed with their experience along these years, and there is no doubt that this experience will help develop our work in this document. Following this, we will do a comparative analysis between two comedy films: an Italian and an Ecuadorian whose analogy allows them to glimpse the relevance they have had in the film work of their countries. After having researched and analyzed each given concept by every single studied directors and actors; a narrate of such concepts will be done applied to the short film QuieroserPayaso. The objective is to set the learning parameters of a final work, which contributes to the filming range, especially the acting field in our environment. It is fundamental to highlight the work of an actors’ director who has worked together with the cast when starting the film project.

    El trabajo emocional actoral desde un punto vivencial a través de la dirección en el cortometraje Pasos de duda

    This research illustrates the work of the film director and the actor from their joint professional relationship to develop true emotions, generated through techniques related to the actor's experiential plane. The study aims to make the short fiction film Pasos de duda, in which the director puts into practice the explorations carried out. The research takes as a reference to great theoretical-practical figures such as the stage director and theater pedagogue Konstantín Stanislavski, who creates and disseminates his system of acting preparation. However, it is important to mention other influential theorists and practitioners who also develop their own experiential techniques: Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Sanford Meisner. Likewise, it should be remembered that the study's methodology focuses on the creation and cinematographic practice of the socalled “research / creation” (Quiroga, 2012). Finally, the tips and conclusions are applied to an audiovisual exercise to check and explore the tools analyzed.

    El trabajo con el actor novel en el primer plano desde la dirección del cortometraje de ficción Summer Beats

    This study is titled “The workshop with a novel actor using close ups, based on the film direction of the fiction short-film “Summer Beats”. The objective of this study is to find and introduce a working methodology with the so-called novel actor and prepare him for the technical and performing proceedings that a film production demands. It focuses on strengthening the construction of the character while working with a movie camera especially during close up scenes, which are a very important source of expressiveness during filmmaking because they make the audience connect with the interior world of a character. To achieve the application of a methodology, this investigative analysis was based in the dissection of the different performing proceedings and techniques, which demands a big amount of preparation from the beginner actor. This investigation analyzes the film staging, the elements that conform the construction of the film speech, and the arrangement of the staging and the framing shot. It also analyzes the practical proceedings to work in the film staging with a beginner actor based in the professional’s contributions of many filmmakers in the film industry. Finally, the numerous analysis during this investigation helped to define a preposition of a working method with the novel actor in the pre-production phase. All of this according with the many requirements that surged during the making of the short film called “Summer Beats”
